Using GPS Tracking with SMS Alerts

GPS Tracking can be used to receive SMS alerts from your vehicles almost in real time.

Up to know you hardly get any news from your drivers or what is happening on the road: driving outside business hours, going to forbidden areas, wrong driver, etc.

Technology

Our GPS Tracking devices transfer the GPS position together with vehicle data and data that is received from accessories to the software. The GPS device uses mostly simcards via GPRS. When the vehicle is moving, the tracking device constantly sends data to the software. 

The GPS Fleet Software analyzes the new data that is received for the vehicle and triggers alert and event notifications. The central servers are connected to international SMS gateways to send reliable SMS to the users.

Solution

The user can configure all alerts to be received by SMS or email. The alarms depend on what the customer wants to see and which tracking device he is using.

Vehicle-relates SMS Alerts: The user can define SMS alerts if a vehicle is used outside business hours, on weekends or if the vehicle exceeds pre-defined speed limits.

Geofence SMS Alerts: The user can get an SMS if the vehicle exits or enters a predefined zone.
