The Satcom Hybrid GPS Iridium&GPS Tracking device is used for monitoring vehicles everywhere on earth regardless of any terrestial GSM networks. The Satcom Iridium Tracking Device will send its position via GPRS if a GSM network is available. If NO GSM network is available, the Satcom Tracking Device will switch to the Iridium Satellite Communication system to transfer its tracking positions. This means it can send its position almost everywhere. This makes it the perfect tool for high security or high risk applications, oil gas or mining industries.

The Iridium Antenna is used to send Iridium Short Burst Data. The device needs a GPRS sim card for configuration. But outside of the GSM network it will use Iridium. As a vendor we can provide you with the right Iridium contract.
